About Verity

Hello, my name is Verity. Although I am now an illustrator and artist, this has not always been my main occupation. However, creativity has always been a part of my life, and I have found ways to use my artistic talents wherever I have been. From participating in art classes at school to doodling on scraps of paper during my Saturday job, illustration has always been present in my everyday activities. My creative journey continued throughout my professional life, including my roles as an early years worker and a teaching assistant in schools.

For a long time, I lacked the confidence to truly pursue illustration as a career. The turning point came with motherhood, which seemed to have a profound effect on my self-assurance. As I moved through life as a mum, I found myself caring less about what others might think or say about my work. This shift in perspective gave me the courage to put myself out there, embrace my creativity, and see where it could take me.

So, 4 published books later and here we are! VJ Creations is born.
